Solid Oak Frame & Construction
Oak can take between 80 and 150 years to reach furniture-grade maturity. It is one of the hardest and most durable European hardwoods, valued for its strength, expressive grain, and ability to age with character.
The entire exposed outer frame of this solid oak armchair is made from European oak, without veneer or composite substitutes. Its clean geometry, gently angled legs, and balanced proportions take inspiration from the design masters of the 1950s and 60s while remaining at home in contemporary interiors.
The internal structure is made from solid beech for additional reinforcement. The seat combines serpentine zigzag springs with HR high-resilience foam, creating a supportive and comfortable place for reading, conversation, or a quiet moment at the end of the day.
Every armchair is individually handcrafted and finished to order. Natural variations in the grain, colour, and texture of the wood are part of the character of solid timber, making every piece subtly different.
Essenza Leather-Look Fabric
Essenza by Toccare is a substantial leather-look fabric with a 100% polyester surface on a natural-leather backing: 70% leather, 30% polyester (manufacturer data). It is a durable, versatile upholstery material designed for everyday furniture.
The polyester surface defines the texture and colour depth of Essenza, and the material is tested to over 30,000 Martindale cycles. At 480 g/m², Essenza has a substantial feel that complements the natural character of this solid oak armchair.
This is an upholstery fabric, not full-grain leather. Subtle differences in texture and tone between production batches may occur; they are part of the material’s character and are not considered defects.

The standard collection includes 10 Essenza upholstery colours, each paired with one of two solid oak finishes:
- Oak — a light, natural finish that highlights the grain of the timber
- Dark Stained Oak — a deeper finish that creates a more defined and contrasting appearance
Together, these options create 20 carefully prepared upholstery and wood-finish combinations. The product selector above allows you to view and choose the combination that best suits your interior.
Personalisation does not have to end with the standard collection. Alternative upholstery materials, colours, wood finishes, and selected dimensional modifications may be available as a custom order.

Made to Order
The Armchair No. 1 is not taken from anonymous mass-production stock. Each solid oak armchair is prepared and finished to order by experienced craftspeople in Poland.
Made-to-order production allows us to prepare the selected upholstery and wood finish specifically for your armchair. Standard production time is approximately 3–4 weeks.
Small variations associated with natural timber and handcrafted production are part of the identity of each piece. They are a reminder that the armchair was made individually rather than produced as an identical factory copy.
Shipping & Delivery
The armchair is delivered fully assembled in one protective carton, so no assembly is required after delivery.
Orders shipped within the European Union are not subject to additional customs duties. Worldwide shipping is available. For destinations outside the European Union, local import taxes, customs duties, or handling charges may apply.
Standard production time is approximately 3–4 weeks. Delivery time is additional and depends on the destination.
